Beef Stroganoff


Best home-made stroganoff dish


  • 1 lb Gore's Ground Beef
  • 1 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 small clove garlic (finely chopped)
  • 2 cup mushroom (sliced)
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
  • hot cooked egg noodles


Brown ground beef in skillet (start cooking noodles). Add 1 cup broth (reserve 1/2 cup), stir in ketchup and garlic, cover and simmer 10 minutes.
Stir in mushrooms and onion, boil, reduce to simmer for 5 minutes.
In seperate container mix rest of beef broth and flour, combine with beef, heat to boil, reduce back to simmer.
Stir in sour cream, simmer for 2 minutes, then plate on top of noodles.
